1. Who we are

Smart Mandal is a mandal (community organisation) management application operated by AiSuperSmart ("we", "us"). The app helps registered mandals manage members, collections (vargani), donations, expenses, events, meetings and related records. This policy explains what data the mobile app collects, how it is used and the choices you have.

2. Information we collect

We do not collect your location, contacts, SMS, call logs or any advertising identifiers. The app contains no advertising.

3. How we use your information

• To provide the app's features: collections, expenses, ledger, members, receipts, reports, meetings, tasks, gallery and your mandal's website.
• To send push notifications about your mandal's activity (you can turn these off in your device settings or in-app preferences).
• To keep the platform secure: audit logs record who changed what, on which device.
• To provide customer support when you contact us.

We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties for marketing.

4. Data isolation between mandals

Every mandal's data is fully isolated. Members of one mandal can never see another mandal's records. Within a mandal, position-based access control decides which member sees which module.

5. Where data is stored & security

• All communication between the app and our servers is encrypted with HTTPS (TLS).
• Passwords are stored only as strong one-way hashes (bcrypt) — we cannot see your password.
• Data is stored on our secured servers and uploaded files (photos, bills) on Microsoft Azure cloud storage.
• Access to production systems is restricted to authorised personnel.

6. Third-party services

The app uses these service providers, only to run the service:

• Google Firebase Cloud Messaging — to deliver push notifications (receives your device push token).
• Microsoft Azure — cloud storage for uploaded images and documents.
• Google Fonts — to display Devanagari fonts.

We may disclose data if required by law, court order or government directive.

7. Data retention

Your data is retained while your mandal's account is active. Records use "soft delete" so your mandal's financial history stays consistent. When an account is deleted (see below) personal data is removed or anonymised within 30 days, except where law requires longer retention of financial records.

8. Your rights & account deletion

9. Children

The app is intended for mandal committee members and administrators aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a minor's data was collected, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the app or by notification before they take effect. The latest version is always at smartmandal.in/app-privacy-policy.html.
